In her role as a Long & Foster Realtor® Emily Barnes first helps home buyers prepare for the purchase process and then matches them with a Realtor® to assist in finding their home. No strings.
The home buyer who works with the coach will not pay anything to anyone at anytime. Here's why: the coach is paid from a portion of the fees paid by the seller at closing. This is how it works:
• When the sale is finalized (at "closing") the seller pays a commission for the sale of his house
• The commission is then divided between the buyer's broker and the seller's broker (for the services they each provide)
• Each broker then pays a portion of his commission to his Realtor® (for the work the Realtors® performed)*
• When a coach is involved in the transaction, the buyer's broker will pay the coach from the Realtor® commission
